Something to Smile About …
The Meigs County Dental Clinic (MCDC) once again is making smiles bright with a fresh faces of its own. MCDC resumed seeing patients on May 23, 2006 with a new dentist and after several hours of elbow grease and coats of paint were applied.
The safety net dental clinic provides dental care to people regardless of their income or whether or not they have insurance by using a sliding fee scale. Ohio Medicaid is accepted. From May 2006 through December 2006, the MCDC treated 436 different patients. Often urgent needs (such as tooth aches or other oral emergencies) are taken care of first, but the staff continues to stress prevention and routine, regular care.
The caring dental staff members Denise Weekley and Tonya Kelley help to reduce fear that keeps some people from seeing a dentist except in emergency and/or painful situations. Staff makes every effort to listen to patients and treat them with respect and honesty during every appointment.
For more information, call 992-3455. Office hours are Monday – Friday from 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM |
